The Evolution of Man...

Blame my childhood infatuation for the good old GunSlingers (Cowboys) of the Wild West, to come up with this peice ..lol

Where has he vanished one fears..
The complete man of the yester years
Strong and rugged, callous yet honoured..
stubbled beard, raw sweat
gnarled fists n bad breadth
Lonely and misunderstood..
treated his women like he felt he should
Rode past on lofty glory n pride
Hardly emotional, never cried
Stood on his two feet, tall and manly
killed or died, defended his word staunchly
Where has he vanished one fears..
The complete man of the yester years?

But Lo! What has evolved to take his place
combed hair and a feminish face
Boyish charm, cute looks
sensitive caring as in romance books
holds his heart in his sleeve
ready to cry more oft than u wud believe
Ready to listen and lend her solace
Chicken out from a fight with no disgrace
What has this that has replaced him
A product of evolution would it seem?

But strangely enough he is in fancy
Its in the new man that trust finds she
a plausible outcome of gender equality
tis stronger women and dainty men do we see!

Wonderful poem, you really give some insight in the life as to what it is like to be that child and now a grown man.
