Pitter Patter of the Rain..

Monsoons have come. Before they get destructive and life taking, a few thoughts on the lovely ambience it can provide. Couples would know and singles can dream on .. :D:D

The damp but unique smell filters right in
dark clouds have filled the sky to the brim
The heat of the dry land was being overcome
by heavy air, moisture laden which had become

Thunder rumbled out, grumbling as it must
fair bit of lightening, ionising the dust
I pull up two chairs out in the balcony
in a bid to enjoy natures splendid symphony

I Call out to you, lest you might miss
the first droplets, the ground they kiss
each strike raising a minor puff of dust
as they begin to quench the parched crust

Softly the pitter patter grows to a crescendo
as the skies unleased their loads with gusto
the wind swirling through the grateful flora
tickling our nostrils with that heady aroma

You disappear back in for a few moments
your voice drowned under the nosiy torrents
Only to reappear with pipping hot tea
and delicious snacks to nibble with me

What better way to spend the evening I think
tasty crispy pakoras dipped in spicy tamarind
sitting with you, audience to natures show
sipping on tea, could they be anything more?

And then the crows start their noisy call
wet and disgruntled by the excessive rain fall
but heedless the skies empty out in buckets
mindless of the cribbers under leafy pockets

We watch the rivelets form in the ground
rushing.. gurgling, flowing by rocks around
I glance at you and smile as you gently sip
making effort to offer u snacks I nearly slip

With a shake off your head you slowly uncurl
rise from your chair.. your skirt you twirl
with a mischevious smile you come up to me
and seat yourself on my lap comfortably

I feel your body fill the contours of mine
and smell in the fragrance a different kind
as you lean back onto my thumping chest
the eats held against your lovely breast

I smile and nuzzle into your luscious hair
cuddle around your slender waist half bare
stroke your midriff on supple soft skin
you playfully push snacks to stiffle my grin

We sit cuddled for hours on end
sipping tea and enjoying the trend
the ambience is serene and sensuous
arousing loving affections tremendous

The clouds have disappeared the sky clears
crickets start chirping their mating cheers
The moon is full dousing us with milky white
and I look forward to the long long night..

One Night in Paris

When it happens, it happens. One can do nothing about it. The mystery of chemistry .. lol

He laid his eyes on her on the dance floor
surrounded by flattering men loud in encore
sashaying elegantly to the beat of warm music
dressed in white against the sea of black tunic

With an amused smile he studied the scene
reaching her was impossible, it would seem
but bowled over was he at the first sight
he knew ahead would be a long long night..

After dancing his bit he sat down at the bar
chatted with the hostess about the pretty star
Poured out her favourite drink along with his
the lemon tinged mocktail with loads of fizz

After a while she came to quench her thirst
he offered the drink and she smiled at first
"All yours lady but the payment is one dance
with this long line I never did get a chance.." :D

she laughed and they danced not just that once
together on the floor lost in a pleasant trance
the music soon slipped into a romantic beat
waltzing till her tired legs forced a retreat

He escorted her out into the cool fresh air
relief from the noise and heat, an alone pair
on the fountain edge she took a comfortable seat
sipping her drink while he worked on her aching feet

He downed his customary peg in one swift go
felt the heat spread down from head to toe
with fire in his veins he looked in her eyes
singing her song he had practised but thrice

She burst out laughing at his ragged attempt
a sweet honeyed laugh with a hint of contempt
"You work like a cassinova yet you can't woo
its a wonder how so many girls surround you!" :))

They made love that night under the stars
passionate and tender surrounded by the cars
entwined close in each other arms they had lay
like long time lovers full of love and care..

"Oh no! My partner's waiting, I'll be in soup"
Kissing him quickly she gave a long last look
"thanks for the lovely time but I have to go"
and disappeared hurriedly back onto the floor

In the morning he realised with bewilderness
he didnt even take her number in all that madness
homeward bound he now had to catch his flight
only with memories of that one beautiful night

The Old Turkey Buzzard

Has anyone seen the old movie 'Mackennas Gold'? On similar lines here comes my next melodramatic piece. Any body movie script writing may contact me for story rights .. lol

The sun beat down relentless
scorching all with brutality
The barren stretch was endless
blazing hot, hell in totality

The buzzard hovered high above
sharp eyes fixed on his prey
death was waiting down below
today would be his lucky day

The man crawled an inch more
mechanically, no where to go
blistered badly in the sands
clawing with disfigured hands

Parched throat, split lips
skin torn from his wounded hips
eyelids swollen, almost blind
crimson was his trail behind

If only he could get to sip
just that wee bit of water
if only his lips could he dip
in that life giving nectar

He felt the talons tear his back
flesh ripped up under the attack
the starving buzzard was at work
alive prey, yet it did not shirk

He felt no pain just dull tugs
for threshold was long crossed
his mind wandered in the past
flashbacks of happiness lost

Of his childhood in the ranch
strong ma and pa who could punch
tasty meals and a warm bed
nightly love trysts in the shed

And then her face appeared
almost real his heart it seared
laughing and teasing in his arms
mesmerising with her girlish charms

He had left without a proper bye
to chase his dreams, away fly
soon to return he had promised
it was her, the most he had missed

Would it all end this way?
he cursed his life as unfair
so much was still left undone
his life waning under the sun

The buzzard sensed the bigger bird
saw the machine much after he heard
with a cry of despair he left the prey
today again would not be his day

The man was placed in the stretcher
airlifted to the nearest doctor
heavily patched and sewed up good
given fluids till he could eat his food

Lucky man murmured the nurse
rescued alive he was the first
special meals she cooked for him
amazed by his fighting spirit within

He did return home later that year
only to realise his deepest fear
his love had moved on with her life
mother of a doting two, she was a wife

The buzzard began to circle his prey
a familiar sight as on that ill fated day
he was getting old and a family to feed
die must this man to fulfil his need..

The Duel...

My childish infatuation for men who behaved gallantly and settled scores with a wierd sense of honour is seen in this piece.. Its a common tale quite often heard, with a twist in the end to spur the imagination of the reader.. enjoy!

The two men stood far apart
their duel was ready to start
each wore a grim look on his face
dare not back out for the disgrace

The pretty lady sat in the shade
fanned and comforted by her maid
Her eyes open wide with childish fear
for One would die, she was sure

She knew them both equally well
they both loved her, she could tell
she wished she could have done something
Even split herself in two for the giving

But the age old story had to unfold
the fight for a woman had to be told
two men dueling to win the ladys favour
A triumphant story of bravery and honour

The gentlemen stole her a longing look
her captivating beauty in they took
unfair that it would be settled this way
but her with the other, neither could bear

Two shots rang out in the the fight
The lady almost fainted at the sight
for both men had buckled at the sound
each sprawled akwardly on the ground

As the bodies were silently carried away
Onlookers felt sorry for the Lady that day
At the end she had lost both her gallant men
her life would be empty, it seemed to them

The story would have ended there
but for a twist found by the coroner
both men had been shot in their back
and neither had yet fired his revolver..

An Experience to remember

This theme I picked up from a mail forward and found it a good laugh. So I put it in my own words.. and hey presto.. heres a piece

She walked in, her expectations high
Excitment glittered from her eye
She had waited long saving every dime
Would she meet her match this time?

She waited seating herself comfortably
And yes definately noticed her did he
the tall handsome stranger in the corner
walked with confidence and over her tower

She watched wide eyed as he flashed his wares
Murmurred soothing words in her ears
She knew she had the choice right
he did know how a woman to delight

Not a moment extra did he waste
knelt down before her in measured haste
with expert hands released her constrictions
baring her skin she felt no inhibhitions

She took a deep breadth as he opened his goods
His hands holding her, she felt the moods
Her pulse raced wildly in anticipation
her body trembled in this helpless situation

He was calm and confident in his ways
She felt comforted under his steady gaze
his hands working expertly caressing light
taking her to that new dizzy hieght

And Lo! in the midst of all the frenzy
as she rode the wave of expectant ectasy
he hesitated just that tiny bit
she froze...... was it tooo big!!

With a heave of relief it slipped in
a perfect fit as glove with hand within
She felt elated like never before
tears in her eyes to the fore

She watched herself in the mirror
how many times had she dreamed of this
blood pulsating in her ears with fervour
It was a spectacle she wud never miss

He smiled knowingly as she arose
she would be back again in the same pose
her aching desire fulfilled, she was happy
proud owner of a new pair of shoes was she!
